Rima Torosyan, Ophthalmologist at Wigmore Clinic, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to undertake a clinical experience at Jules-Gonin Eye Hospital in Lausanne, one of the leading centres in ophthalmology, internationally recognised for its expertise in ocular oncology and retinoblastoma care.
Following my previous clinical fellowship in Ocular Oncology and Retinoblastoma at King Hussein Cancer Center, this experience at Jules-Gonin Eye Hospital represents another important journey.
Being part of such a highly specialised environment and witnessing the dedication, expertise, and multidisciplinary collaboration of the team have further strengthened my commitment to developing and improving ocular oncology services in Armenia.
My sincere gratitude to Prof. Francis Munier and Dr. Christina Stathopoulos for warmly welcoming me to their department, generously sharing their knowledge, and making this learning experience truly inspiring.
I would also like to express my heartfelt appreciation to Health Fund for Children of Armenia, Armen Martirosyan, David Dallakyan and to all other individuals whose support helped make this opportunity possible.
Every step of this journey brings us closer to a greater goal: building sustainable expertise in ocular oncology and helping ensure that children with retinoblastoma in Armenia have access to high-quality, specialised care.”
