“Its fantastic to see that NHS England has done the right thing, and restored its national cancer plan this month. Lots of good things in there, including notable goals on improving cancer survival.
No country should be without an ambitious national cancer plan, with integrated funding mechanisms. Otherwise risk your country going backwards on improving cancer care and control.
The European Cancer Organization was pleased to have some opportunity to join forces with the brilliant cancer organizations in the UK, such as Cancer Research UK (CRUK), to convince UK parliamentarians of this cause.
Few do that convincing better than Professor Mark Lawler either….”
