“When a collective dream changes the story of childhood cancer.
We are proud to share that Prof. Dr. Angélica Samudio, a leading expert in pediatric hemato-oncology in Paraguay and medical director of the Renaci Foundation, recently published an article in the prestigious international journal CancerWorld x OncoDaily.
In this article, Prof. Dr. Angelica Samudio recounts the path traveled to transform childhood cancer care in Paraguay and presents one of the most innovative projects in digital health in the region: TELENEC, a telementoring network that connects doctors from all over the country to improve the diagnosis, care and accompaniment of children with cancer.
This work is part of the commemoration of the 20th anniversary of Foundation S ‘s My Child Matters program, an initiative that has driven important advances in childhood cancer care in low- and middle-income countries.
In Paraguay, thanks to the joint work between health professionals, institutions and civil society organizations such as the Renaci Foundation, today it is possible to speak of networks of collaboration, innovation and hope for hundreds of children and their families.
