Reem Al-Ajlouni, Executive Director of Jordan Breast Cancer Program at King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Breast cancer is associated with the color pink, which symbolizes hope and support . But what really matters to us goes beyond color to reality. A health reality in which early detection services are available fairly, easily and with quality for all. Early detection is the key to controlling breast cancer and ensuring high cure rates exceeding 90%.
This month, we are launching our tenth Arab awareness campaign in collaboration with our partners in the region. Throughout the year, we work hard to reach all communities in all governorates of the Kingdom, through comprehensive awareness, promoting healthy behaviors, and providing life-saving early detection services.
My interview on Jordanian TV to talk about it.
The pink ribbon is a symbol of hope, but our mission at Jordan Breast Cancer Program is about much more than a color.
It’s about reality: Fair, equal, and timely health access for every woman.”
