Ravindran Kanesvaran, Chairman of the Division of Medical Oncology at the National Cancer Centre Singapore, and Distinguished Professor of Geriatric Oncology at Duke-NUS Medical School, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Was at an excellent Uro-Oncology Asia meeting in Hong Kong last weekend organised by Phillip , Darren and HKSUO — a strong signal of how rapidly GU oncology in Asia is maturing.
Particularly proud to see two Singapore urologists, Raj Tiwari and Thomas Chan, recognised with Best Abstract awards. Their work reflects the growing depth, rigor, and regional leadership of Singapore’s GU community.
I was honoured to serve on the Abstract Scientific Committee, contribute as a speaker, and represent the Singapore oncology community at the official launch of this meeting. The energy, quality of science, and cross-disciplinary engagement between urology, medical oncology, and radiation oncology were outstanding.
This is only the beginning. Uro-Oncology Asia will next collaborate with ESMO to deliver a significantly expanded ESMO GU Asia meeting next year — broader in scope, deeper in science, and truly pan-Asian.
Watch this space. GU oncology in Asia is moving fast.”
