“Wrapping up an incredible week at the AACR Molecular Biology in Clinical Oncology Workshop, focused on science, grant writing, career development, and mentorship.
It was a privilege to serve on the faculty and to work with such an impressive group of aspiring physician-scientists. Their energy, curiosity, and determination to make new discoveries were truly inspiring.
At a time of real uncertainty for science funding and academic research, spending the week with this next generation felt especially meaningful. Their commitment is a powerful reminder that the future of cancer research remains bright, provided we continue to invest in their ideas, training, and careers.
A special thank you to course co-directors Christine Lovely and Ross Levine for their extraordinary leadership and service. As this workshop marks the conclusion of their term as co-directors, it was wonderful to see the impact they have had on the program and on so many emerging physician-scientists.
