Raffaella Casolino, Technical Officer in the Department of Noncommunicable Diseases, Rehabilitation, and Disability at WHO in Geneva, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“The United Nations 4th High-Level Meeting on NCDs is days away. It will set the vision and political direction for NCDs – including cancer – towards 2030 and beyond. We cannot lose sight of the importance of cancer research to deliver health gains for all.
World Health Organization’s new analyses show big gaps in cancer R&D by geography, disease focus, and modality.
Member States, funders, product developers, clinical trial investigators and partners are encouraged to align cancer R&D with public health priorities, close geographic and disease-area gaps, and ensure equitable access to innovation for every population.
A huge thanks to the global cancer community for amplifying these messages. We can shape the future of cancer R&D, together.”
