Radwa A. Yassin: Building a Future Where Every Region Contributes to the Global Oncology Community

Radwa A. Yassin, Lecturer of Clinical Oncology at Ain Shams University, Deputy Managing Director Ain Shams University Cancer Hospital, shared a post on LinkedIn:

” ‘The most meaningful conversations don’t end when the webinar does – they become catalysts for action.’

Delighted to see the key messages from our World Cancer Day (WCD) webinar cohosted by Ain Shams University Hospitals and American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) featured in an ASCO Connection article.

This is more than a recap – it reflects a shared belief that investing in the next generation of oncology leaders is essential to shaping the future of cancer care, particularly across Africa and the Middle East (MEA), where innovation, collaboration, and leadership are needed more than ever.

My heartfelt thanks to our distinguished panelists for sharing their wisdom and vision, and to ASCO for providing a global platform that amplifies these conversations and connects voices committed to advancing equitable cancer care.

Special Thanks to Dr. Noha Soror my respectable mentor for her guidance through whole year and still working, Prof. Abdul Rahman Jazieh, for unwavering support to start dreaming towards global impact and Dr.Khalid El Bairi, for sharing different experiences and opportunities through the ASCO.

I hope this article serves as another step toward inspiring collaboration, empowering young oncologists, and building a future where every region contributes to – and benefits from – the global oncology community.
