Radwa A. Yassin, Lecturer of Clinical Oncology at Ain Shams University, Deputy Managing Director Ain Shams University Cancer Hospital, shared a post on LinkedIn:

It’s Time for Africa…

Proud to share the launch of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Africa Community of Practice – a platform designed to connect passionate professionals, societies, and organizations across the continent who are committed to advancing cancer care, with more than 1500 members till now and my honor to serve as one of the champions for this initiative.

Our vision is simple but powerful: bring Africa’s cancer community together to share ideas, align efforts, and amplify impact.
From awareness and education to research, capacity building, and bestpractices, this community aims to turn collective knowledge into collective action.

We are inviting colleagues, institutions, and organizations from across Africa to join us – share your interests, highlight your initiatives, and help shape one of the most energized collaborative platforms for cancer care on the continent.
Because the challenges we face are shared, and so, should be the solutions.

Let’s build this together.

Special thanks to our Mentors and Colleagues allover Africa who supported this initiative once began, Dr. Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu, Prof. Miriam Mutebi, Prof. Pr Adda Bounedjar , Dr.Khalid El Bairi
