Radnyi Mande, Pediatric Hemato- Oncologist and BMT physician at M | O | C Cancer Care & Research Centre, shared on LinkedIn:
“Happy to share another significant milestone in my journey in Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HSCT).
I successfully performed a Haploidentical Bone Marrow Transplant for a 15 yr old High Risk Acute Myeloid Leukemia patient at Dr L H Hiranandani Hospital, Powai, Mumbai.
The patient engrafted on Day +13 and is being discharged today on Day +15.
Having had the opportunity to be part of the BMT teams at Lokmanya Tilak Medical College, Sion, Mumbai and S. L. Raheja Hospital – A Fortis Associate, this Haploidentical transplant is another meaningful step in my ongoing journey in pediatric HSCT.
Grateful for this milestone and hopeful for many more successful transplants ahead!
Sincere thanks to Dr Ashish Joshi, Vashishth Pankaj Maniar, Dr Kshitij Joshi, Dr. Suraj Chiraniya and M | O | C Cancer Care & Research Centre for giving me this opportunity.
Special thanks to Navin Khattry Sir, Girish Chinnaswamy Sir, Banavali Sir and Purvi Kadakia for your teachings and guidance at Tata Memorial Hospital, Lokmanya Tilak Medical College, Sion, Mumbai and beyond.”
