“This week we have had the privilege of hosting many of our European colleagues in very sunny Manchester.
We were delighted to spend two days at The University of Manchester and The Christie NHS Foundation Trust discussing upcoming collaborations and partnerships, and huge thanks to The University of Manchester Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health for enabling this.
Whilst we did not end up hosting our guests with a football win, I was proud to showcase all that Manchester has to offer both as a city and across our huge depth and breadth of cancer care, research and education.
Our international collaborations across The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, Cancer Research UK Manchester Institute,The University of Manchester Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health and Manchester Cancer Research Centre support us to do more together and are critical to wider progress.
To finally meet our colleagues from the National Cancer Institute of Ukraine and wider Ukrainian partners after many zoom calls was very special, and it is a privilege to work with their teams through our partnerships.
A huge thanks to all colleagues who joined us both in person and online – we look forward to the next steps.”
