Rachel Chown, Associate Director of Research and Innovation and Education at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Fantastic to present at the OECI Oncology Days 2026 this morning on The Christie Institute for Cancer Education Manchester.
At The Christie, our excellent practice in education is international, inclusive and integrated – with educational experts in EDI led programmes, patient co-design and creation, and flexible learning which is available when you are
We look forward to further work with partners across the Organisation of European Cancer Institutes (OECI) network on how we collectively co-host international learners, and it was great to receive a question on how we meaningfully design education for and with our patients.
It was great to share the stage within this session with my colleague Joanna Williams, who presented an early detection best practice and our pioneering work on the Breast Cancer After Radiotherapy Dataset (BARD).
Happy to be representing Team Manchester and The Christie NHS Foundation Trust alongside Jo, Fiona Blackhall and John Radford here in Warsaw – we are looking forward to an excellent programme over the coming days.”
