“As part of its ongoing efforts to raise awareness about liver cancer, Qatar Cancer Society, in collaboration with Qatar Red Crescent, organized an awareness event at Mesaimeer and Al Hemaila Health Centers targeting workers.
The event highlighted key risk factors that may increase the likelihood of developing liver cancer, including hepatitis B and C infections, exposure to certain harmful substances, and unhealthy dietary habits.
It also covered the main signs and symptoms of liver cancer and ways to reduce the risk, while emphasizing the importance of early detection and seeking medical advice when concerning symptoms appear.
To ensure the awareness messages were clearly understood, the educational content was delivered in multiple languages tailored to the needs of the target audience.”
