Qatar Cancer Society Advances Skin Cancer Prevention Through Multilingual Education

Qatar Cancer Society shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Awareness is the first step toward prevention.

In recognition of Skin Cancer Awareness Month, Qatar Cancer Society, in collaboration with Qatar Red Crescent, organized awareness activities at Fareej Abdul Aziz Health Center, reaching members of the labor community to promote skin cancer awareness, prevention, and early detection.

The events highlighted the main risk factors for skin cancer, including exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation and certain chemicals, while also educating participants about the early signs and symptoms of the disease and the importance of protective measures -particularly for those who work outdoors under the sun.

To maximize understanding and engagement, the educational content was delivered in multiple languages, ensuring the health messages were accessible to the target audience.”
