“On behalf of the Society of Utah Medical Oncology, speaking to legislators about reforming the prior authorization process, which needs as much timeliness and transparency as access to the medical record itself – patients deserve to know when and why their meds are denied vs. approved.”

“So frustrated at the prior authorization process.
I feel helpless because I am being asked to reason with a physician who isn’t even an oncologist and convince them that my patient deserves to have a potentially life-saving therapy. It’s so frustrating to see my patient decline as we try to fight and reason with their insurance provider.
We need to do better.”
