Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Lung cancer is the most diagnosed cancer globally (both for men and women), with nearly 2.5 million new cases every year.
Smoking is the leading risk factor for lung cancer, responsible for approximately 85% of all cases, and non-smokers exposed to second-hand smoke have a 20-30% higher risk of developing lung cancer.
Tobacco consumption, second-hand smoke, outdoor and indoor air pollution, exposure to asbestos, and radon are the main preventable causes of lung cancer.
This November, find out more about how to prevent lung cancer. Know the risks.”
