“I have immense respect for Hagop Kantarjian.
We look upto him as one of the top leukemia researchers in the world. Today I was so glad to get a citation alert for our group’s real world study on efficacy and toxicity of lower doses Inotuzumab from Amrita Hospital, Faridabad from Dr Kantarjian’s paper.
We were able to demonstrate a similar efficacy and lower toxicity of lower doses of Inotuzumab in relapsed / refractory B-ALL in a small cohort of 15 patients. Dr Kantarjian’s paper on dose optimization of Inotuzumab is very important to us and his citation of our study in his review inspires us immensely to keep looking for better answers for our patients together.
Thank you so much Nitin Jain for his continued academic endeavors for India which have been instrumental in our efforts to optimize Inotuzumab dose at our centre. We will need to do more in India to understand optimal dose for our patients considering a very high prevalence of fatty liver, higher vulnerability to SOS/VOD , lower body mass/ sarcopenia and metabolic factors.”
