Pietro Presti, CEO of SPCC, Founder and Managing Partner at ISTION Ventures, shared a post by SPCC on LinkedIn, adding:
“Innovation in oncology creates meaningful impact only when culture, leadership, and execution move in the same direction.”
Quoting Sharing Progress in Cancer Care (SPCC)’s post:
“Last Saturday, we concluded an inspiring second edition of our course, ‘Leading innovation for better outcomes and performance in cancer care,’ designed for SPCC by SDA Bocconi.
Under the leadership of SPCC President Dr Matti Aapro, this initiative continues to push the boundaries of medical education. As our CEO Pietro Presti highlighted during the session, creating a real impact through innovation requires a profound shift in culture and management.
The discussions moved beyond metrics, reminding us that KPIs are tools for dialogue that help us ask better questions and make more informed decisions for our patients. From multidisciplinary collaboration to the essential role of medical nutrition in supporting treatment tolerance, the programme challenged us to think ‘out of the box’ and bridge the gap between academic research and real-world management.
A heartfelt thank you to our exceptional faculty, Lucia Ferrara, Elisabetta Trinchero, and Marco Pierotti, for their invaluable insights, and to all the participants for their energy and commitment to advancing the future of oncology.
This course was made possible thanks to the unrestricted support from Roche (Main Sponsor), Amgen, AstraZeneca S.p.A. and Cloud Pathology Group (Contributors).”
