Pietro Paolo Vitiello, Postdoctoral Researcher at IFOM, Visiting Researcher at A.O.U, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I’m happy to share that my project has been selected for funding by Fondazione Cariplo through the Giovani Ricercatori (Young Researcher) program.
The project will investigate a key pathway in RNA metabolism that shapes tumor antigenicity in colorectal cancers treated with chemotherapy, with the ultimate goal of expanding the number of patients who can benefit from immunotherapy.
This achievement would not have been possible without the continuous support of Alberto Bardelli and the grant office at IFOM. I’m deeply grateful to Fondazione Cariplo for investing in this project and for its unwavering commitment to empowering early-career scientists to pursue high-quality, independent research.
The project will be carried out over the next 3 years at IFOM – Istituto AIRC di Oncologia Molecolare, the best place I could imagine to turn ideas and basic biological questions into meaningful, impactful results for cancer patients”
