“Congratulations to Peter Mac Clinician Scientist Associate Professor Shom Goel on being awarded the Robert Sutherland Award for Excellence in Translational Research at the Breast Cancer Trials 2026 Annual Scientific Meeting.
The award recognises outstanding translational researchers whose work is improving outcomes for people with breast cancer through scientific excellence.
Associate Professor Goel’s research, which is supported by Snow Medical, is uncovering new ways to understand how breast cancer cells divide, why treatments stop working, and how we can develop better therapies for patients.
His discoveries have been published in some of the world’s leading scientific journals and continue to shape the future of cancer care.
