”Feeling incredibly grateful to have attended the ESMO Course in Medical Oncology in Valencia, Spain, from 24- 28 July 2026!
It was an inspiring few days filled with learning, engaging discussions, and meeting amazing people from around the world. The course allowed me to build on the oncology knowledge I’ve gained throughout medical school and deepen my understanding through lectures by leading experts, alongside interactive workshops covering 4 major cancer types.
One of the highlights was presenting patient cases during the lung cancer and prostate cancer workshops, where we discussed the diagnostic work-up, treatment approaches and therapy assessment together with fellow students. It was a fantastic opportunity to exchange ideas and learn from experts and peers alike.
Just as valuable was getting to know medical students from different countries, learning about our different medical school experiences and sharing perspectives! I also had the chance to explore the beautiful city of Valencia for the first time, making the experience even more memorable.
A big thank you to co-chairs, Andres Cervantes and Rodrigo Sanchez Bayona, as well as all the organizers, ESMO staff, faculty and speakers for creating such an inspiring course! Grateful to ESMO – European Society for Medical Oncology for this incredible opportunity. I’ll carry the knowledge and perspectives I gained with me as I continue my medical training and grow into my future role as a physician”
