Childhood Cancer International – Europe shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Today, we mark the first-ever World Psycho-Oncology Day, an important reminder that high-quality cancer care must include psychological and psychosocial support.
Across Europe, there is still significant variability in access to psychooncology services, particularly for children, adolescents, and young adults. Addressing these gaps requires collaboration, evidence-based approaches, and strong cross-border initiatives.
The IMPACT-EU project, coordinated by SIOP Europe, the European Society for Paediatric Oncology (SIOPE), co-funded by the European Union and under the scientific lead of Prinses Máxima Centrum voor kinderoncologie brings together experts and institutions to improve standards, access, and integration of psychosocial care in pediatric oncology. By aligning research, policy, and clinicalpractice, the project aims to ensure that every young patient receives truly holisticcare.
If you are interested in advancing psycho-oncology in Europe and staying informed about project developments, resources, and opportunities, we invite you to subscribe to the IMPACT-EU newsletter here.
Join us in shaping the future of comprehensive cancer care.”
