The Inaugural AACR Pediatric Cancer Progress Report – St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital shared a post on LinkedIn:

“As a national leader in pediatric cancer research and care, St. Jude is dedicated to advancing the science and practice of childhood cancer treatment. The inaugural American Association for Cancer Research Pediatric Cancer Progress Report highlights the advancements made possible by discoveries across basic, translational, clinical and population sciences – progress that is transforming diagnosis, surveillance and treatment for children and adolescents.

Yet, significant gaps remain in access to standard-of-care treatments, especially for rare and understudied pediatric cancers in low- and middle-income countries. Addressing these challenges requires sustained international collaboration, national policy commitments and investment in health care infrastructure and workforce development. Through the Global Initiative for Childhood Cancer, the Global Platform for Access to Childhood Cancer Medicine and the ongoing commitment of the St. Jude Global Alliance, St. Jude has been leading the way in those efforts.

Through St. Jude Global, the institution extends its leadership by partnering with countries and organizations worldwide to make training, treatment protocols and medicines more accessible. These collaborative efforts focus on capacity building and shared solutions, accelerating the development and accessibility of effective therapies for young patients everywhere.

Learn more about these initiatives in the AACR Pediatric Cancer Progress Report.”
