Paz Vellanki: My First ASCO as Part of Precision for Medicine is in the Books!

Paz Vellanki,Vice President Clinical Development, Oncology at Precision For Medicine, shared a post on LinkedIn:

My first ASCO as part of Precision For Medicine is in the books!

It was a privilege to spend the weekend with such an exceptional team and to be surrounded by people across life sciences deeply committed to advancing better options for patients.

The plenary presentation of daraxonrasib in previously treated metastatic pancreatic cancer was a standout. Seeing overall survival improve from 6.7 to 13.2 months, in a disease where progress has historically been difficult, was remarkable, and the standing ovation in the room reflected the significance of that moment.

Presentations across the conference also pointed to continued progress in head and neck cancer, a disease space where I have continued to care for patients. As new data emerge, the work ahead is to put those results into context to steer further drug development.

Advances like these will shape future trials and regulatory strategy. I’m grateful to be part of a team helping drug developers navigate the complex and evolving treatment landscapes for patients with cancer.”
