“EXERCISE AS MEDICINE—The power of movement during and after cancer treatment.

You are welcome to join the upcoming talk presented by two renowned scientists, Dr. Kerry Courneya and Dr. Margie Mcneely, highlighting their research findings on the major benefits of exercise for people living with cancer!

Dr. Courneya will present results from the first large scale trial showing that exercise can improve survival in patients with cancer. He will also provide recommendations on how people affected by cancer can incorporate exercise into their treatment plans and improve their outcomes.

Dr. McNeely will share insights from the Alberta Cancer Exercise (ACE) implementation study and other research in cancer rehabilitation, illustrating how interdisciplinary rehabilitation can improve quality of life, reduce treatment side effects, and support individuals across the cancer journey.
