Patrick Soon-Shiong: For the First Time a Mechanistic Treatment to Reverse Lymphopenia has Been Developed

Patrick Soon-Shiong, Chairman of Chan Soon-Shiong Family Foundation, Executive Chairman at ImmunityBio, and Executive Chairman of the Los Angeles Times, shared a post on X about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, adding:

“Lymphopenia is not just a lab abnormality. Since 2015, a decade ago, lymphopenia has its own ICD-10 disease code, D72.810, which makes it billable and clinically recognized!

When your doctor uses this code, it identifies patients whose low lymphocyte counts place them at higher risk and who may need timely immune restoration.

Now, for the first time, a decade since the code identifying low lymphocyte count in the blood was introduced by CMS, a mechanistic treatment to reverse lymphopenia has been developed by identifying the correct protein IL-15 to stimulate NK and T cells – killing cancer.”
