Patrick Hanley: Can In Vivo CAR-T’s Safety Unlock Its Full Potential?

Patrick Hanley, Chief and Director of Cellular Therapy Program at Children’s National Hospital, shared on LinkedIn:

“I was impressed by the candor expressed by all of the speakers in the CART access patient at Alliance for Regenerative Medicine’s CGMesa26. I heard significant discussion (and excitement) for in vivo CART but comments about how safety would be the key to success – even if efficacy did not exceed auto CART efficacy.

The panel was outstanding and included Catherine Bollard from Children’s National Hospital, Lynelle Hoch from Bristol Myers Squibb, Cindy Perettie from Kite Pharma, and Bruce Thompson from Kincellis Advanced Therapies.

Another key point: there will be a role for auto CART and other cell therapies in solid tumors.”
