Parandzem Khachatryan: My Goal is Simple – To Bring More Bright Brains into Pathology

Parandzem Khachatryan, Co-founder of the HistoGen Pathology Center and Acting Chair of the Department of Pathology at YSMU, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“If I were to start my professional life again, I would choose pathology again, without hesitation.

Because for me, pathology has never been just a specialty.

It is the place where medicine becomes evidence, where every diagnosis is built on truth you can see under the microscope, and where curiosity is not optional, it is essential.

Over the years, my passion for pathology has only grown, but so has something else: the desire to share what I have learned.

The more I discovered, the more I wanted to teach, guide, and inspire others to look deeper, think sharper, and never accept “good enough” when it comes to diagnosis.

That is why becoming the Head of Department feels like more than a position.

It feels like responsibility and opportunity at the same time.

My goal is simple but meaningful: to bring more bright brains into pathology, to create a stronger learning culture, and to help future pathologists feel proud of the impact they can make.

Because pathology is not behind the scenes. It is the foundation of clinical decisions, patient care, and modern medicine.

If I can help even a few young doctors fall in love with this field, then I am not only doing my job.

I am building its future.”
