“I presented my research at the 44th Congress of the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO) in Göteborg, Sweden.
My study focused on predicting postoperative complications following Cytoreductive Surgery (CRS) with HIPEC in ovarian cancer patients.
At the Congress, i introduced iCRS Alert, a web-based and Android application developed to provide surgeons with real-time, color-coded risk predictions based on inflammatory biomarkers. The app translates complex clinical data into a simple decision-support tool, allowing early recognition and mitigation of postoperative complications.
Among an international audience of surgical oncology experts, my presentation highlighted India’s growing contributions to digital innovation in surgical oncology, and attracted significant interest for potential collaboration and external validation.
The ESSO Congress provided a global platform to showcase this first-of-its-kind tool, emphasizing the intersection of clinical research, technology, and patient safety in complex oncologic surgeries.”
