Ossama Shaheen: Integrating Policy, Science, and Clinical Practice at BGICC 2026

Ossama Shaheen, Head of Government Affairs & Corporate Communication at MSD, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“It was a great pleasure to be part of the 18th Breast, Gynecological & Immuno-Oncology International Cancer Conference (BGICC), held in the presence of H.E. Prof. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health, alongside global cancer leaders and institutions shaping the future of women’s oncology.

This edition underscores the critical integration of policy, science, and clinical practice to accelerate sustainable impact in breast and gynecologic cancers across the region.

The discussions emphasized how population-level initiatives aligned with international benchmarks, combined with high-impact scientific exchange, translate evidence into actionable, MDT-driven care models that improve patient outcomes, reinforced through a high impact strategic collaboration with MSD advancing breast and gynecologic cancers across policy, science, and clinical practice.

A special note of deep appreciation to my dearest Prof.Hesham ElGhazaly, the founder of BGICC, for his visionary leadership and outstanding achievements in advancing oncology, building regional capacity, and creating a platform that continues to drive real, measurable progress in cancer care.”
