“A few months ago, I was invited by Miriam Bredella to give a TEDx talk, which took place in June. It was entitled ‘Beirut to Brooklyn: From War to Healing‘. I spoke about a journey marked by the fortune that arose from the unexpected opportunities of escaping war, learning judo and the piano, an exceptional snowstorm, and meeting remarkable people along this hitchhiking expedition.
I wanted to especially thank the village it took to make this happen, including Lauren Herget, James Holahan, Miriam Bredella and all the other members from NYU Langone Health Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) for putting it together, as well as Susanna Baddiel who spent countless hours coaching me prior to the event.
