Luca Gattinoni, Project Coordinator at T-FITNESS, Director-Division of Functional Immune Cell Modulation, Professor-Functional Immune Cell Modulation, shared a post on LinkedIn about a paper he co-authored published on Nature Reviews Immunology.
“Thrilled to share our latest Nature Reviews Immunology article: ‘Targeting organelle function in T cells for cancer immunotherapy.’
In this review, we explore how organelles shape T cell activation, metabolism, and antitumour responses. We also highlight emerging genetic, pharmacologic, and organelle-transfer strategies — including the transplantation of native or synthetic organelles — to reprogram T cell metabolism and enhance their resilience in the tumour microenvironment.
Congratulations to my fantastic co-authors Jeremy Baldwin and Christoph Heuser-Loy for this great collaboration!”
