Our latest study explores the voices of 130 men living with prostate cancer across five Kenyan counties. Beyond the clinical diagnosis, participants described emotional distress, financial hardship, long travel distances for care, changing family roles, and challenges to their sense of identity and dignity

The message is clear: improving cancer outcomes requires more than treatment alone. We must also address the psychosocial and structural barriers that shape the patient experience.”
