Olubukola Ayodele: Honored to Receive an Academic title from the University of Leicester

Olubukola Ayodele, Breast Cancer Lead at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“The conferral ceremony for honorary titles at the University of Leicester on 19th of November was a proud moment. This is the first ceremony since covid, and about 50 of us were recognised for our contributions as NHS clinicians who also teach, mentor and take part in research.

This recognition matters. It reflects the value of clinicians who bridge both worlds and bring real clinical insight into academic spaces. The partnership between University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust, Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (University Hospitals of Northamptonshire Group) and the University of Leicester continues to play an important role in shaping future doctors, postgraduate learners and research activity across our region.

Strong collaboration between hospitals and universities is essential if we want to train well-rounded healthcare professionals and support research that genuinely improves patient care. The event was a reminder of what we can achieve when service and scholarship come together with a shared purpose.

Grateful to be part of this community and motivated to keep contributing.

Congratulations to all the awardees!”
