“I’m swapping the clinic corridor for a rather longer walk!
On the 13th of September, I’ll be taking part in Walk4Hope London, raising funds for Make 2nds Count, and I have set myself a fundraising target of £500; however, I know I can surpass it with your help!

For me, this one is particularly meaningful.
I spend much of my working life caring for people living with secondary (metastatic) breast cancer. I see the challenges that come with living with an incurable cancer, but I also see something else: people continuing to live, work, travel, parent, celebrate milestones and make plans.
That is why organisations like Make 2nds Count matter.
Their work is focused specifically on people living with secondary breast cancer, providing support, education and funding research while helping ensure that those living with metastatic disease are seen, heard and supported.
I’m also very proud to serve as a Trustee of the charity, so this is an opportunity for me to support the work in a slightly different way… with my feet!
My target is £500, and I would love your help getting there and beating the target.
Whether it is £5, £10, £20, or more, every donation contributes to the work Make 2nds Count does for people affected by secondary breast cancer.
And if donating isn’t possible, sharing the post would mean just as much. You never know who in your network might want to support the cause.
So, Team Charis… let’s Walk4Hope!
Thank you so much for your support.”
