Oana Voicu, Fourth-Year Medical Student at the University of Milan, shared on LinkedIn:
”From 24–28 July 2026, I had the incredible honor of being selected as one of 90 medical students to attend the ESMO Course in Medical Oncology in Valencia, Spain!
Over four intensive days, we immersed ourselves in the diagnosis, staging, and management of breast, prostate, colorectal, lung, and ovarian cancers. Between analyzing clinical trial data and working through complex patient scenarios with world-class faculty, the educational depth and energy were truly unmatched.
My Personal Highlight: I had the privilege of presenting a prostate cancer clinical case during our interactive sessions. Presenting clinical findings and discussing treatment strategies directly alongside leading experts and peers was an invaluable learning milestone!
Beyond the academic growth, connecting with and learning alongside such a passionate, diverse group of future oncologists from across Europe was an incredible experience.
A sincere thank you to ESMO – European Society for Medical Oncology and our exceptional co-chairs, Andres Cervantes and Rodrigo Sanchez Bayona, for selecting me for this opportunity and organizing such a transformative course.
Excited to bring these clinical insights back to my studies, and I truly hope to cross paths and reconnect with many of you at future conferences!”
