Norman Ng: Strengthening Shenzhen–Hong Kong Collaboration in Cancer Care

Norman Ng, Director of Patient Advocacy and Public Affairs at Healthcare Thinkers, shared a post on LinkedIn:

Don’t be alone on the road to fighting cancer, build a new bridge of life together

Yesterday, I had the honor to participate in the ‘Shenzhen and Hong Kong Doctors and Patients Work Together to Fight Cancer and Explore New Paths of Treatment’ Oncologist Exchange Dinner, where oncologists, medical practitioners and patient representatives from Shenzhen and Hong Kong gathered together to discuss the future direction of cancer diagnosis and treatment in the Greater Bay Area.

The conference focused on core issues such as cross-border medical resource exchange, clinical application of new drugs, and patient management, and deeply felt the huge potential of Shenzhen-Hong Kong medical integration: Hong Kong’s international medical experience combined with the Mainland’s extensive service network is bringing more treatment options and hope for cancer patients.

As a companion on the road to fighting cancer, I always believe that the perseverance of doctors, the courage of patients, and the collaboration between the two places will eventually converge into a powerful force to defeat cancer. We look forward to continuing to promote medical cooperation between Shenzhen and Hong Kong in the future, so that more advanced therapies and care services can reach every patient in need.”
