“Deepen understanding of the Greater Bay Area and promote medical and innovative development.
Mr. Leung Chun-ying, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, delivered a speech at the reception last night, focusing on important issues such as medical care, life sciences, and the research and development of innovative AI drugs, and put forward important views on cooperation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Vice Chairman Leung Chun-ying said that life sciences and AI medical care are developing rapidly and are key areas in the future.
The construction of the Greater Bay Area has gradually yielded results, and the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Loop Cooperation Zone has made good progress.
He will go to the Loop tomorrow evening to promote deepening co-operation between Hong Kong and Shenzhen and listen to their views.
He pointed out that the ‘9+2‘ cities in the Greater Bay Area have their own strengths, but Hong Kong and the nine cities in Guangdong still need to have a deeper understanding of each other’s strengths and needs.
Vice Chairman Leung Chun-ying also cited the Hong Kong International Trade Centre as an example, explaining that Hong Kong’s trade model is centered on offshore trade and professional services, which is different from the positioning of mainland cities, emphasizing that only by truly understanding their respective advantages can the Greater Bay Area achieve complementary advantages and win-win synergy.”
