Norman Ng: Supporting the Lung Cancer Screening Pilot Programme to Improve Early Detection in Hong Kong

Norman Ng, Director of Patient Advocacy and Public Affairs at Healthcare Thinkers, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“As a Member of The Hong Kong Jockey Club and the Convenor of the Hong Kong Lung Cancer Patient Concern Group, I am truly delighted and deeply appreciative to see this recruitment for the Senior Manager role dedicated to the Lung Cancer Screening Pilot Programme.

Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer deaths in Hong Kong, often diagnosed at late stages when treatment options are limited. A dedicated pilot screening programme funded by the Club’s Charities Trust represents a vital step towards early detection, better outcomes, and saving lives in our community.

This initiative aligns perfectly with the Club’s longstanding commitment to improving public health, and it gives real hope to patients, survivors, and families like those in our group who have been advocating for enhanced screening access.

I wholeheartedly support this recruitment and encourage passionate, experienced professionals in public health and project management to apply. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in tackling lung cancer.

Thank you, The Hong Kong Jockey Club, for your continued leadership in building a healthier Hong Kong!”
