”Throwback to 2024 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, when I was elected as President of Asian Pacific Organization for Cancer Prevention (APOCP).
My journey began much earlier in Kuching, Malaysia back in 2012, when I participated in APOCP’s 8th Conference as a postdoc under my mentor, Prof. Yip Cheng Har, the first woman President of APOCP (2010–2012), and also its past presidents Professor Jeff Dunn AO, Malcolm Moore, You-Lin Qiao, Keun-Young Yoo, Kazuo Tajima.
Fourteen years later, I am deeply proud to bring our 13th Conference back to Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia, and of course of becoming the second woman President of Asian Pacific Organization for Cancer Prevention (APOCP)!
A special shoutout to Dato’ Dr Saunthari Somasundaram, Murallitharan Munisamy, our partners from National Cancer Society Malaysia
Save the date!
28–30 September 2026,
Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.
Bring your research, your energy, your voice!
Together, we’ll celebrate progress and push cancer control forward in the Asia Pacific.
Learn more about APOCP and our mission here.”
