Nina Niu Sanford, Assistant Professor and Chief of Gastrointestinal Radiation Oncology at Harvard/Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Massachusetts General Hospital, shared a post on X by The Lancet Oncology:
“Been skeptical regarding AI diagnostics, but PANORAMA is compelling because not only was sensitivity on par or better, but false positives were up to 38% lower with artificial intelligence compared to radiologist. In breast/prostate/lung imaging, AI equals more false positives. But for pancreas, AI-guided reads could lower resource utilization.”
