“Over the past two days, the 4th CCCA Research Retreat brought together researchers from the Universitätsklinikum Augsburg and the University of Augsburg at Lake Starnberg.
Almost 60 colleagues from 19 clinics and institutes joined to share ongoing research, present posters, and discuss new ideas for interdisciplinary collaborations in cancer research. Beyond the scientific presentations, the retreat created valuable space for exchange, new connections, and future project development not only within the Comprehensive Cancer Center Augsburg (CCCA), but also within our networks, including Bayerisches Zentrum für Krebsforschung (BZKF), CCC WERA, and NCT WERA.
A special thank you to Vivek Venkataramani for your inspiring keynote lecture, to all participants who contributed to the open and collaborative atmosphere, and to Vincenza Leone and Julia Tappenbeck for your support in organizing this meeting!
Events like this highlight the strength of interdisciplinary cancer research in Augsburg and we are already looking forward to the 5th CCCA Research Retreat in 2027.”
