“It was a great honor to participate as a guest discussant, representing the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO), at the All.Can Greece Forum ‘Mapping the Efficiency of Cancer Care in Greece’, held last month in Athens.
During the Forum, the results of the pilot implementation of the All.Can International Action Guide for Efficient Cancer Care in Greece were presented – one of only three such implementations worldwide. The study highlighted significant achievements as well as critical challenges for the future of cancer care.
There was a shared consensus that the systematic measurement of efficiency, patient experience, and unmet needs is fundamental to shaping a fair, effective, and truly patient-centred cancer policy.
My sincere congratulations to Prof. Kostas Athanasakis and Prof. Athanassios Vozikis, to All.Can Greece, as well as to the Hellenic Cancer Federation | ELLOK and its President George Kapetanakis, for their meaningful contribution to this important initiative.”
