Nicole Engelbrecht: Rewriting Cancer Highlights Hope in Kenya’s Lung Cancer Care

Nicole Engelbrecht, Head of Communications, Marketing and Public Relations at Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), shared a post on LinkedIn by Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), adding:

“This film really touches me, not only because I lived in Kenya for more than 4 years and am very attached to the country, but mainly because of the inspiring people it features and the hope it provides for anyone living with lung cancer.

The film is part of the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC)’s latest Rewriting Cancer series produced by BBC StoryWorks.

Thank you AstraZeneca for supporting this important work at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital…”

Quoting UICC’s post:

Lung cancer is not the most common cancer in Kenya but it carries an extremely high mortality rate. Misdiagnosing lung cancer as TB is very common. Find out how the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital is helping people navigate lung cancer in Kenya.

This Rewriting Cancer film produced for AstraZeneca, a UICC partner, by BBC StoryWorks as part of the Rewriting Cancer series presented by UICC.”
