Nicolas Gonzalez Senac: SIOG 2026 “A Global Call to Action” in Geriatric Oncology

Nicolas Gonzalez Senac, consultant Geriatrician at Hospital Universitario Gregorio Marañón, Madrid, Spain, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Year after year, SIOG – International Society of Geriatric Oncology’s Annual Conference continues to establish itself not only as a premier forum to stay up to date with the most cutting-edge evidence in Geriatric Oncology, but also as a unique opportunity to engage with a welcoming, multidisciplinary community of healthcare professionals who firmly believe that meaningful progress in medicine can only be achieved through teamwork.

This year’s conference, taking place November 5–7 in Valencia (Spain), will revolve around the theme “A Global Call to Action: From Vision to Impact in Geriatric Oncology.” We chose this theme to serve both as a reminder and as a catalyst: a reminder that the SIOG community has long been – and continues to be – at the forefront of shaping how cancer care for older adults is delivered worldwide; and a catalyst to unite the global workforce in addressing persistent barriers and driving tangible, sustainable progress in the field.

We strongly encourage all healthcare professionals involved in the care of older adults with cancer to submit their work as an abstract. By doing so, you contribute to a vibrant exchange of knowledge where participants learn from one another, inspire and spark new ideas, and foster collaborations that will keep the field moving forward. Together, we can ensure a meaningful and lasting impact so that older adults living with cancer receive the best possible care.

The submission deadline is fast approaching (May 5!), so don’t wait for long and get your work ready to submit!

You can find general information about the conference and the abstract submission guidelines here:

See you in Valencia!”
