Nelson Dusetti, Research Director at the Cancer Research Center of Marseille (CRCM), Head of the Translational Research and Innovative Therapies Department, shared on LinkedIn:
“Looking forward to joining colleagues working in pancreatic cancer research and care in Lisbon for the 3rd Botton-Champalimaud International Pancreatic Cancer Conference, taking place on 8-10 October.
This year’s meeting brings together researchers and clinicians to discuss the biology and clinical management of locally advanced and metastatic pancreatic cancer, connecting translational research with therapeutic and surgical approaches.
Nicolas Fraunhoffer will present his work on how pre-existing programmes within pancreatic tumours shape adaptation to treatment and the evolution of resistance. Understanding these mechanisms could help explain why treatments fail and guide the development of more effective therapeutic strategies.
I will have the pleasure of co-chairing the Early Career Researchers session alongside Federica Valsecchi and Jason Lee.
Thank you to the organizers for inviting us both, and to our colleagues at CRCM – Centre de Recherche en Cancérologie de Marseille and Institut Paoli-Calmettes whose work makes these contributions possible.”
