Neli Ulrich Honors Neeraj Agarwal’s 15-Year Legacy at Huntsman Cancer Institute

Neli Ulrich, Jon M. and Karen Huntsman Presidential Professor in Cancer Research at University of Utah, Chief Scientific Officer, shared on LinkedIn:

“Today, we said goodbye to a dear friend and colleague, Neeraj Agarwal, MD, FASCO, who has helped shape Huntsman Cancer Institute for more than 15 years.

Neeraj has been a powerful and dedicated leader in building an internationally recognized genitourinary (GU) cancer clinical program, while becoming a global leader in clinical trials that have advanced treatment and improved care for patients with GU cancers around the world.

You have built an incredible legacy of achievement and role modeling, while never forgetting to share your wisdom, experience, and opportunities with the next generation of clinical trialists.

The many people you have mentored and supported over the years are an important part of that legacy.
While we are very sad to see you leave, we are also excited for this next chapter. Neeraj will continue his remarkable career at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard University, while also having the opportunity to be closer to family.

And we are very much looking forward to continuing to work together – the collaborations and friendships built over so many years don’t end with a change in geography!

Neeraj, thank you for everything you have contributed to HCI, to our patients, and to the field. You may be leaving Utah, but you will always be part of the HCI family – and, most importantly, a dear friend who will remain in our hearts.

Wishing you every success and happiness in this next adventure!”
