Neha Vapiwala: In Radiation Oncology, Community Defines Impact

Neha Vapiwala, Dean of Admissions at University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, shared a post on LinkedIn by Penn Medicine Radiation Oncology, adding:

“No better time to forge connections and accomplish more together, on behalf of our members and our patients. Scientific advances in biology and technology are integral to radonc, but our community is what defines us.”

Quoting Penn Medicine Radiation Oncology’s post:

“While attending the 41st Annual European Association of Urology (EAU) last weekend in London, American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) President Dr. Neha Vapiwala met with European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO) President-elect Dr. Barbara Jereczek-Fossa.

With their shared background as GU oncologists and shared mission in their leadership roles, Dr. Vapiwala and Dr. Jereczek-Fossa plan to forge a stronger relationship between ASTRO and ESTRO and launch several joint initiatives to advance the practice of radiation oncology globally.

Don’t miss out on your opportunity to connect with colleagues from around the world at the upcoming ESTRO Congress (May 15 – 19 in Stockholm) and ASTRO Annual Meeting (September 26 – 30 in Boston.
