“NCODA Oncology, Advocacy, Health Policy & Equity Fellows Ariel Hughes and Neil Ryan kicked off their fellowship year with orientation in Jacksonville, Florida, including a visit to Cancer Specialists of North Florida.
Joined by former fellow and current NCODA Associate Manager of Clinical Excellence, Madelyn Floysand, the fellows toured the practice, met with CEO Bob Phelan, Pharmacy Manager Ernestine Wigelsworth, and Head Dietitian Tiffany Lommel, and connected with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, radiation oncology professionals, and other members of the care team. The visit provided a firsthand look at how multidisciplinary collaboration supports patient-centered community oncology care.
