NCCP Nigeria shared a post on LinkedIn:
“The National Cancer Control Plan (NCCP) is Nigeria’s comprehensive, multi-sectoral strategy developed to address the growing burden of cancer across the country. It provides a structured and coordinated approach to strengthening cancer prevention, early detection, diagnosis, treatment, and palliative care.
We at NCCP focus on expanding access to quality care, improving health system capacity, and ensuring equitable outcomes for all populations.
The plan is guided by seven strategic pillars:
- Risk Assessment, Prevention, and Early Detection
- Timely and Accurate Diagnosis
- Treatment and Clinical Care
- Survivorship and End-of-Life Care
- Advocacy, Partnerships, Coordination, and Financing
- Strategic Information, Research, and Surveillance
- Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation in Cancer Control
Together, we move closer to a future where cancer care is accessible, equitable, and effective for all.”
